Awkward Moments

I went to publix on Saturday to pick up a few last minute items for a baby shower I was helping with. Blah Blah Blah...I didn't have a million coupons (which is the new trend) and was hoping for a fast and easy checkout. I got in the express lane(10 items or fewer...woohoo!) and the nice and friendly cashier man swiped all my items and I paid...but then the strangest thing happened. The "nice" cashier MADE the bagger lady take my cart to the car for me! I insisted that I could do it myself...I mean I only had like 8 items! He said um no ma'am this is a courtesy of Publix and she doesn't mind taking your items to the car for you! Wooahh! I was kind of insulted. So this poor lady who was like in her fifties got my cart and started wheeling it out the door!! As soon as we got out of the door she started crying...seriously, she was crying. She looked at me and said I'm about to quit, I can't stand my job. (WHAT...seriously...why today...why!!!)So this was all very awkward for me! I don't do well with strangers. I just don't have that outgoing personality and that ability to comfort someone! We stood at my car for about ten minutes while she vented about her stupid job. She told me that she had recently gotten laid off :( I know that feeling! Then she told me about her family's old business and it had something to do with printing. Hmmm...I work at a printing place and some dude just quit. I told her I worked at a printing company and then she told me that she saw an add for a bindery worker at this place downtown! Totally weird because that was the add from my company. She is suppose to come in and apply for the position. She was able to compose herslef and go back in to work. Everyday it just amazes me at who God puts in our lives and why he puts them there. I think this lady just needed a little break on her bad day! God just picked me for some reason to talk to her about printing stuff and a possible job opportunity. It's so strange how things work out sometimes. Hopefully that nice lady will find a great new job! Just one thing...I wish publix would not force employees to take peoples groceries to the car!!! I don't like it. I would like for someone to do that for my grandmother but not for me...I'm still young...right?

Blog Shmog

Everyone else is doing it so I guess I will too...start a blog that is. Most people I know that blog have very interesting lives to talk about, like children or spouses or pets. Well I don't have any of those. I am a non married girl in my mid twenties. I have no idea what I am going to blog about so I probably won't have many followers. I will probably blog about my work life. It is so awkward! Weird things happen at my office every day and I work with the strangest people on the planet except for a couple of normal ladies! More to come on that later. I am from the great state of Alabama, I have a boyfriend, I love my family, I am a Christian who loves the Lord and that about covers it. So here I go into the blogging world.
